Italian Mountains

25 November 2007

An interesting little show chronicling the history of Italian mountains by looking at 296 trademarks – pinned down from an overall 30.000 – produced during the first 6 decades after the Italian unification, just closed its doors at Museo Nazionale della Montagna «Duca degli Abruzzi» in Turin, after a short appearance last year at Società Geografica Italiana in Rome. If you want to find out more, there was an accompanying volume published for the occasion by IMONT, for the Quaderni della Montagna series: Immagini della montagna italiana. Marchi di fabbrica, libri e carte geografiche tra il 1869 e il 1930.
