One of the biggest assholes of all time, notwithstanding his raw energy and the fact he wrote The Fight which is one of the best books ever and is about one of the greatest fights ever. The Fight is also the text I used in place of Calvino to teach typography to the kids at Pratt. The dude stabbed women and his rudeness is legendary, but he could write and live pretty fucking hard.
