Spier Under Pressure

New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Coach Stochl today insisted that CSC defender and makeshift goalkeeper Marco Spier will emerge an even better player as a result of the criticism directed at him after a below-par performance between the sticks this week.

An amateur videographer captured a rare howler by the German during one of the club’s morning training sessions (see footage below) sparking questions about Spier’s current form.

“I think good players respond to adversity very well and I am confident that Marco will do just that,” Stochl said.
