Road to Roubaix.

I received my pre-ordered copy of ‘Road to Roubaix’ today after a small hiccup between Paypal and shipping to Germany (thanks David!), and have already watched it twice. Few words can describe the content of the film, a breath-taking documentary which shows the sacrifice behind the ‘Queen of the Classics.’ It documents what it is to ride these simple machines over some of the worst conditions and persevere through it all with a smile at the finish. It cuts to the core, personally, of why I love the sport of cycling so much, and documents the beauty of the struggle.

In slightly over a month, Garrett and I will be going on a 1600km tour of our own, and while pale in comparison to the epic Paris Roubaix, it is our epic. And while we gather our things and prepare, I know I will be watching this video frequently helping keep the mind motivated on the reward of all the effort spent on the bike.
