STAPLE FW08 T.
Reported by Jeffstaple, 13 October 2008, 04:54 AMCut and sewn apparel is a pain in the ass. Tees are still fun. And with that, I present the first delivery of Staple Fall/Winter 08 Tees. Some follow our FW theme of “The Science of Life”. Others are just graphic jerkoffs. Enjoy….we had a lot of fun with this collection. More to come.

I don’t care which side of the fence you sit on. But come 11/4 it’s Reps vs Dems!!

All lifeforms in the universe can be categorized into the hierarchy of biological classification’s eight taxonomic ranks. At the base of it all? Staple of course.

The Staple Petri Dish.

Staple on the Brain. 3D style.

Around the time I was designing this collection, Denise from Organic Avenue was waxing poetic to me about the difference Human Beings…and Human Doings. 99% of us, especially Americans are Human Beings. We just “be”. We don’t “do” anything. We don’t contribute to this world. And I thought how that concept really resonates with Staple’s “positive social contagion”. So I asked a few friends to interpret what they thought about this and these 2 are my favorites. The top one is done by Kazuki from Fragment Design (under his own umbrella known as Fauna.) The second one was executed by Wayne Pate (formerly of Soul Rebel and now Good Shape Design.)

If you ever get some free time (like 5 years), then look into the works of DaVinci. His biology and anatomy work was incredible for its time.

The science of Human Flight. As manifested by The Collabros.

The Hypno Mind. “You’re getting very sleeeeppy….you will buy this t-shirt……”

Grotesk got down the biology theme as well. So genius. You really need to read the fine print on this design. Kimou gets DEEP!

The Spectrum Tee. (Shouts to Roy G. Biv) This is about as close to a “logo tee” as you’ll see from us.
All are available at Reed now.
