New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Chinatown Soccer Club winger Joel Barnard linked up with club legend Charlie Becker for a friendly match in sunny Los Angeles last week, the Newswire has learned.

Becker, who moved to the West Coast for personal reasons last year, was in fine form during the two-hour session in Griffith Park, according to Barnard.

“Charlie looked good on the ball and used all the experience gained from playing in Chinatown for many years to dictate the flow of the game,” Barnard said.

“It was a pleasure to take the field with him [Becker] again,” the Colorado native said.
