SPEED MACHINES

7 November 2008

Here are some photos sent to us by Antonio Columbo, of Cinelli. Cinelli’s booth at the 66th Milano Bicycle highlit the Mash Cinelli frame in their product presentation. While in Milano last month, I had the opportunity to review and discuss refinement and production of the frame. A few adjustments to the geometry will insure this race-bred machine with an eye to city street riding is going to be just incredible.

While on the topic of speed, earlier this week LANCE spent time in San Diego’s LOW SPEED WIND TUNNEL to tune riding position on his time trial bike. Lance is a known numbers geek and spends hours making and testing, tweaking and finessing adjustments to rider-position — minor hand, elbow and saddle placement make monumental differences in speed and power output.
