Braving the Cold

24 January 2009

New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Despite adverse weather conditions, the Chinatown Soccer Club managed to complete a lengthy training session this morning, raising Coach Stochl’s hopes that his team will be back to full fitness come springtime.

Amidst strong wind gusts and patches of ice (see below) in one or two corners of the Stanton Street ground, a solid turnout of players kept the ball rolling for close to three hours.

In addition, defensive midfielder Dom “The Dominator” Neitz was belatedly presented with his award for the “Most Improved Player” of the 2008 season after missing the clubs end-of-the-year banquet last month.
