New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Chinatown Soccer Club supporters had their hearts in their mouths earlier today when fan favorite Dan “The Danimal” Funderburgh went down hard after a collision with a fellow defender while attempting a desperate goal-line clearance.

The impact left Funderburgh with blood streaming down his face and a busted lip (see below) but didn’t keep him on the sidelines for long as he rejoined the game soon thereafter to the thunderous applause of the CSC faithful.
