Spier Ages Gracefully

New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Veteran defender and Chinatown Soccer Club founding member Marco “The Berlin Wall” Spier will celebrate his birthday by putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club at a banquet to be held in his honor tonight, according to sources close to the player.

Coach Stochl believes that Spier’s impact is such that other players in the squad are eager to take a page out of his book and see out their careers at the CSC.

“Marco’s [Spier] performance levels have not diminished and in some ways he’s added to his game in terms of experience and composure,” Stochl said.

Spier’s renowned nutritional expertise was at display on the sidelines of the first CSC Kickaround back in the summer of 2005.
