Messenie Injury Update

New York (Chinatown Newswire) — Prolific forward Mike Messenie underwent successful ankle surgery earlier today, the Newswire has learned.

The Chinatown Soccer Club’s veteran striker suffered a broken fibula during Saturday’s practice session and the injury is reportedly similar to the one that kept French international Samir Nasri out of action for around three months.

Messenie gave the thumbs up at the hospital on Thursday.
