  • Geigy at Le Lieu Du Design, Paris

I recently paid a quick visit to Le Lieu Du Design, a new exhibition space in Paris dedicated to graphic design. They are currently displaying a touring show about Geigy, a mythical (at least amongst designers) Swiss pharmaceutical company, which produced from the 50s to the 70s a plethora of packaging, ads and posters that inspired countless graphic artists. Mind-blowing really. A bit depressing too, as nowadays such excellence is rarely found in mainstream visual culture.

Geigy had “Mobile cinema trucks” touring the Swiss countryside to show films about allergies and bacteria (!):

This show is a must-see if you are in Paris before January.
