Mike Simonetti, label boss of the prolific Italians Do It Better handles this much anticipated EP with ease. 4 superb edits varying from the obscure to the familiar. Each track a floor burner in it’s own right, but currently gathering immense amounts of heat on the global circuit, is Mike’s surgical reconstruction “Everybody Dub”. Find the 12″ EP at the usual suspects starting at the end of this month. 180 gram heavyweight picture disc limited vinyl.

  • FACE x Throne of Blood

Reported by Eugene Whang, 26 January 2012, 10:52 AM

FACE kicks off 2012 with a proper house party vibe at SOM, showcasing the talents of the infamous NY label THRONE OF BLOOD. Co-founded by indie dance rockers The Rapture and James Friedman, Throne of Blood has been releasing stellar tracks from the likes of Cosmic Kids, Bicep, Populette, Saarid, Mugwump, John Selway and a bunch more.

Couple that w/ their sub label “Let’s Play House” (run by Jacques Renault, Nik Mercer and James Friedman) and you’ve got an incredibly solid catalog. NY x LA x SF all in one night. Lets go!

  • Nothing Major

Reported by Eugene Whang, 23 December 2011, 13:17 PM

If you’re still on the hunt for some last minute gifts check out Nothing Major. Still relatively new, it’s an interesting collaboration between some heads at Pitchfork and old friend David Rush. David runs Stüssy SF and has also been designing their sunglasses for quite some time now. I like their company statement… “The idea of Nøthing Major is exactly what it sounds like. Not a big deal.”

  • Le Bain mix – Jacques Renault & Eug

Reported by Eugene Whang, 1 November 2011, 16:55 PM

Last month Jacques and I shared the decks all night at Le Bain. We had a great time as we always do and the club recorded about 4.5 hours of live music. The mix captures the mood of the night well… a crazy fogged out, euphoric dance party on top of The Standard, overlooking a dark and twinkling New York . Coincidentally, we put out a record together last year, which featured a track called “Dancing in the Sky”. We should’ve played that…

You can stream or download the live mix off Soundcloud now…
