Austria Fashion Awards

Austria is very well organised in supporting their local designers with awards.
At the Austria Fashin Awards, Ali Zedtwitz won the Fashion Award of the Ministry (a one-year scholarship abroad, worth 13.200 €). Christina Berger won the Award of the City of Vienna (she can take part in an international tradeshow or festival – worth 10.000 €). Awareness and Consciousness won an international PR representance for a year (worth 15.000 €).

Festival of Hyères
8 May 2009

All winter long, I am looking forward to go to Provence in spring and to attend the fashion Festival of Hyères.

For the first time in the history of the festival, one single collection won both main awards. The collection from Marite Mastina and Rolands Peterkorps from Lithuania was amazingly well done, with craftmanship and knowledge on details

Anaïs Dougnac’s shoes and detachable feather wings.

Melodoy Deldjou Fard did a very poetic collection and also used the selfmade mannequins for the show.

Kris van Assche did an installation with these “metal orchids”, a dia show was inside.

And that’s me.

Henrik Vibskov at MU
11 January 2009
Danish designer Henrik Vibskov is very much known for his installations, that he does for his fashion shows. They not only transport the mood of the collection, but rather function as a stage, where the clothes are presented on. The installations work very much on their own and are now exhibited on Einhoven’s MU museum. The exhibition runs till February 15th 2009.
