Fresh off his recent collaboration with Comme des Garcons, Italian-Japanese artist Oyama Enrico Isamu Letter has nearly completed a 6 month residency at PointB in Williamsburg Brooklyn. This coming Friday, April 6 at 7pm, Oyama will host an Open Studio to discuss his latest works. Check Oyama’s site for more information.
Last night marked the end of era, as London DJ Gilles Peterson presented his final Worldwide show on BBC’s Radio 1. Some of you will remember this influential show which was closely followed and sought after by international music lovers, especially in the pre-streaming days. The show won’t disappear but will move to the smaller Radio 6, marking a significant generation shift as Radio 1 ushers in a host of new & younger presenters.
